The brand’s esteemed model 2021 Jeep Compass facelift is launched in India with a starting price of INR Rs 16.99 Lakh.

As per the reports, the most awaited Jeep Compass will possibly enter Nepal within the first week of March. Morang Auto Works Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Jeep vehicles for Nepal, has stated that the process to import the vehicles has already been initiated.

2021 Jeep Compass Facelift powertrain option is unchanged – 1.4-liter, 160 bhp/250 Nm petrol, and a 2.0-liter, 171bhp/350 Nm diesel engine. A 6-speed manual will be set as standard on all SUV line ups whereas, for petrol and diesel motor, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 9-speed automatic gearbox will be offered as an option respectively.

The car will be available in four trims of Sport, Longitude (O), Limited (O), Model S, with 11 variants. In the case of Nepal, the specific variant to make its way to the country is still unknown. The company has also introduced a special 80th Anniversary Edition besides the regular variants.

Subtle changes on the outside

Well, the facelift version gets slight changes in the exterior. One might just need a very close look to notice it. From the front end; the SUV sports a massive 7-slat grille with chrome finish, sleeker headlamps with new inserts, revised bumper, and newly-designed fog lamp assembly exposing an even more aggressive look than before.

The completely redesigned front bumper with new air intakes and restyled fog lamp housing add the essence to the futuristic design this beauty carries. The updates on the rear end are limited to the slightly tweaked bumper diffuser and new alloy wheels.

Major upgrade inside

Enter the cabin and you will witness a whole new revamped interior with two-tone synthetic leather treatment and brushed aluminum trim on the dashboard. Wait there is more-

The iconic part is now it will be featured with a new floating 10.1-inch infotainment system, a new steering wheel, slim AC vents, a 360-degree parking camera, and HVAC controls. Moreover, it also features an updated 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

Safety features

In terms of safety, the Compass Model S will come with traction control, six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, ABS with EBD and brake assist, parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

The Jeep Compass facelift rivals the likes of the Tata Harrier, MG Hector, and Hyundai Tucson.
