For cars built from 1996 onward…

You’ll need a specialized tool to check the OBD II codes. OBD 2 languages are 5 characters long, starting with a letter and ending with 4 or 3 numbers and another letter. There are also hundreds of them — far too many to translate with flashes.

An OBD-II Scanner / OBD 2 Reader is the easiest way to find check engine light codes

You can purchase an OBD II scanner for between $50 to $100 for a basic model, which is necessary for most cars. Here’s how to use an OBD 2 scanner:

• Plug in the scanner into the OBD connector.
• Turn your key to “ON” or “ACC” (depending on the scanner model) and read the codes.
• You can both read and delete the numbers as necessary with an ODB 2 scan tool.

The new Jeep Avenger is the firm’s first battery-electric vehicle and has been designed specifically for the European market – and has been revealed at the Paris Motor Show with a bold off-road concept.

Those bigger tyres and other tweaks mean the 4×4 Concept has an extra 200mm of ground clearance, which means that the approach angle has been increased to 21 degrees, the departure angle to 34 degrees and the breakover angle to 20 degrees.

Jeep also says the machine has a lightweight roof cargo system that features a special belt that compresses the load on the roof. There are also anti-scratch features to help protect the car when driving off-road.

The firm hasn’t given any powertrain details about the 4×4 Concept – aside, fairly obviously, from the fact it offers four-wheel-drive. With the focus of the model to reaffirm the Jeep heritage of the front-drive Avenger, the firm also hasn’t signalled any production intent for the 4×4, but as we noted the machine’s platform would support a twin-motor electric powertrain.

If we won’t put it into perspective, the Wagoneer S may perform as well as the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, if it had a Hellcat Engine, which is a funky combination. Another interesting aspect about the Wagoneer S is that the SUV shares the same STLA Large EV architecture as the Recon, the Chrysler Airflow, and the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT.
